Welcome to Whirligig Designs!  I think spring might just be my favorite season - everything is so fresh and new.  There are lots of new designs here so thanks for dropping by.  I’m really excited about the new Stonehenge Stars and Stripes line from Northcott fabrics and since my daughter-in-law was born on July 4, what could be better than Liberty Duet.  Kisses and Hugs is a fun child’s quilt using Nancy Halvorsen’s Curiosities and Mischief fabrics.  Cayuga Lake showcases a border stripe, while Indian Summer is terrific for focusing large coordinating prints.  Blossoms Bluff comes in multiple sizes , here in beautiful florals by Northcott.  Come and Play is perfect for any little girl and To the Rescue can be personalized for that special little boy in your life.  High Rise is a fun, contemporary design that can showcase your favorite fabrics.  If you loved Smokey River in the autumn colors, check out the new spring version of this beautiful quilt.  I’m not sure which is my favorite.  And let’s not forget my latest Block of the Month - Taos.  Inspired by a trip to Santa Fe and Taos in New Mexico, this 10 month pattern makes a truly stunning quilt.  Make sure to check out everything new below and then head to the patterns page to see  old favorites.  Enjoy!
